r and φ resolution for 3 different staggering configurations (see here)
1000 events for each case.

no stagger
stagger = -1
stagger = +1


The r resolution is unaffected by the staggering configuration changes.
The φ resolution shows the ~500 μm resolution, except for the artificial case when the strip centers and the vertex line up exactly, in which case the resolution of ~100 &mum shows the effects of just the multiple scattering.

We saw this same effect when we scanned the event vertex.


To eliminate this artifact, throw the vertex with a σx = 2mm
Same, but now with σy = 2mm :
Note that φ is not much affected, but the r-resolution is. There are voids in the barrel coverage along y, but that should not make such a big difference?
