MVD software "to do" list
The following list of people and jobs is based on discussions at MVD group meetings
in Los Alamos. The list was first created in October 1997. Periodically, I remove
completed jobs from the list and add new jobs. The previous version of this list
is available here.
Things which we must do for the
Mock Data Challenge:
create input calibrations file with calibration constants --
(SangSoo)
fix dN/deta from pads, since it seems to be broken --
(John)
fill official output tables -- (JeongHwan)
remake CDR plots -- (most, not all, is already done
by Mike and
John but maybe we ought
to organize these plots all in one easy to find place).
The 12 step program ("raw data tape" format output from pisa)
(Mike and
John complete 1st pass)
Remove hbook calls and make our code consistent with the
generic histogramming interface
relational tables (i.e. which hit comes from which particle)
Things we should do before the
Mock Data Challenge,
but are not absolutely necessary.
calibration software to take "data" and produce calibrations --
(SangSoo)
add discriminator performance model
(John?)
use Phenix messaging system (does not really exist right now)
dead channels -- we have code to define channels as "dead" and turn
them off, but nothing to correct for this
Convert MVD code to C++ -- (JeongHwan)
Things we could do for the
Mock Data Challenge, but
could be done later (but must be done eventually).
improved vertex algorithms --
(James and
GuangHua)
try to speed up code
