The pisa simulation
was done by (crudely) changing gukine.f to produce a beta distribution.
The modified gukine.f is here.
Another kludge was to increase the radius of the MVD volume in
pisa from 30 to 100 cm. This was done to simplify the coding by making the
test scintillator part of the same mother volume as the MVD. The change was
in gugeom.inc. Changes in some of the MVD code were also made.
The modified version of ver.f contains code to create the
scintillator volume and associated hits structure.
The modified version of ver_hits.f contains code
to fetch the scintillator hits and fill a few simple histograms.
The modified version of ver_digi.f contains
code to call ver_hits for the scintillator. Finally,
the modified version of vermatdef.f contains code
to quadruple the density of rohacell. This was done in an effort to
include material in the simulation which is not in the pisa model
but will be in the real detector.
