Summary

Both strip and pad silicon detector designs of PHENIX MVD have been prototyped. We are currently in the process of testing the production detectors. We require the leakage current in individual strip or pad to be lower than 10 nA and interstrip or pad resistance to be larger than 100 MOhm. The measured cross talk induced into the pad detectors by double metal design is lower than 3%, which is quite satisfactory for the MVD performance requirement.
