This paper, P. D. Bangert (Student), M. D. Cooper, and S. K. Lamoreaux, "Enhancement of Superthermal Ultracold Neutron Production by Trapping Cold Neutrons", was submitted to Nuclear Instruments and Methods. It reports on Monte-Carlo studies that predict a factor of two enhancement in superthermal UCN production by surrounding a cold neutron target with a reflector and verifies ideas Steve Lamoreaux had been developing with kinetic theory.
