The focus of this two-day workshop will be on the production and measurement of Drell-Yan in polarized proton-proton (and other hadron beams and targets) collisions at high energy, and the role of various spin asymmetries in probing the parton distributions and color dynamics in strong interactions. This workshop will provide an opportunity for people who have been closely involved in this physics and the instrumentations(accelerators, polarized targets and detectors) to explore options and develop the future programs. All talks will be in the plenary session and a white paper will be published.
You can reserve your rooms now and request the rates for the workshop by mentioning "Santa Fe Polarized Drell-Yan Physics Workshop" when you register. The rates are LANL government rates ($88.00/night, with free parking and free internet in guesst rooms). A Block of rooms have been reserved untill 09/30/2010, please reserve early so you can get the special rate while rooms are available. On the Hilton web page, when asked for the group/convention code, type "SFD".
The program is being drafted by the organizing committee. Here is the final program.
Presentations will be mainly by invitation. We expect to be able to accommodate a limited number of contributed talks. If you are interested in presenting a contributed talk, please contact Ming Liu.
Rental cars are available at the Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ) and at the smaller Santa Fe regional airport. Shuttle service is available at the Albuquerque International Airport to selected hotels in Santa Fe. See Sandia Shuttle.
