On the evening of June 24, 1997, I arranged a visit to the Major Facility Hall of the GEANT standard man and GEANT standard woman, familiar to many from our simulations. On the photo below they are shown inspecting the North muon ID iron. By noon the next day, they had disappeared again. |
According to GEANT, the man is 1.6m (5'5"), and the woman a full 2.0m (6'11") from heel to crown.
| Even magnified, their appearance is less than optimal. On future trips, I'll make sure they wander a bit closer to the camera. |
