Vector Boson Production in pPb and Pb+Pb Collisions at the LHC and Reference Processes for Quarkonium Production In this talk, I will discuss W+- and Z0 production in p-Pb and Pb+Pb collisions as a function of rapidity and impact parameter at the LHC. Massive gauge boson production could provide an important probe of the nuclear quark and antiquark distributions at moderate x and large Q2, a regime heretofore unexplored by nuclear parton distribution function measurements. I will also discuss possible reference processes for quarkonium production at the LHC, including Z0, Drell-Yan and heavy quarks.
