Speaker: Jinyi Qi, University of California - Davis Title: Bayesian image reconstruction for PET Bio: Jinyi Qi received the B.Eng. degree (with highest honor) from Tsinghua University in Beijing in 1993, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Southern California in 1997 and 1998, respectively, all in Electrical Engineering. Currently he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Davis, and is also a Faculty Scientist in the Department of Functional Imaging at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He was the recipient of the IEEE NPSS Young Investigator Medical Image Science Award in 2001. His research interests are statistical image reconstruction, medical image processing, image quality evaluation, and imaging system optimization.
