P-25 seinar August 1, 2018 Title: THE QUARK GLUON PLASMA Abstract: First I will review the elementary particles, especially the charm and bottom quarks, and basic forces. Einstein's laws of motion will be briefly reviewed with the estimates of the radius R(t) and temperature T(t) (t=time) of the Universe based on Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, but without Einstein's equations. Phase transitions and quantum phase transitions, especially the cosmological phase transitions (EWPT and QCDPT), will be reviewed. The QCD Phase transition (QCDPT) from a universe composed of the quark gluon plasma (QGP) to our universe with hadrons at the critical temperature is discussed. Possible experimental detection of the QGP based on the hybrid nature (active gluons) of some charm and bottom meson states and other theories will be reviewed.
