Chadwick Chief Scientist, Weapons Physics Directorate Los Alamos National Laboratory “ Manhattan Project Scientific Discoveries and the 75th Anniversary Special Edition of Papers.” Abstract: Last year, LANL published 46 technical history papers on scientific discoveries made during the Manhattan Project, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Trinity experiment. Of these, 23 papers were unclassified and published in a special issue of the American Nuclear Society’s Nuclear Technology journal, vol. 207, Number As1, S1-S396 (2021). The talk describes some highlights from this project. Bio: Mark B. Chadwick is the Chief Scientist and COO in ALDX at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Chadwick is a Los Alamos National Laboratory Fellow, a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society and of the American Physical Society. He obtained his BA and doctorate from Oxford University prior to moving to Los Alamos in 1990.
