Several mechanisms have been proposed by which the observed galactic and extra-galactic magnetic fields could have evolved from magnetic seed fields created in the early universe. We will present results of calculations of magnetic fields arising in bubble collisions during the electroweak phase transition, derived directly from the electroweak equations of motion and with the charged W-boson fields acting as the current. We find magnetic fields of larger magnitude than in previous studies, and discuss possibilities for these magnetic fields being likely candidates for magnetic seed fields.
