There is a lot of old documentation on the MVD code. Because the algorithms have not had any major changes in years, this documentation is still mostly valid. I wrote a set of documentation for the MVD code in staf in May 1998. It contains sample plots, descriptions of algorithms, etc. I have re-used the descriptions, pictures, and accounts from that document below.
