I used 90 Au-Au events from file /p2hp4/usr2/sullivan/hijet/auau.dat. As a baseline, I ran the pisa/pisorp programs with no modifications. The vertex-finding efficiency is determined by looking at the distribution of true-reconstructed vertex z-position:

the entries in the peak divided by the total number of entries gives a baseline efficiency of 84/88 = 96% for this data set. (postscript version)
