MCM problems with surface-mount components

This page contains a summary taken from Jehanne's notes from visual and electrical (look for shorts) tests of surface-mount components on the MCMs. I am unclear on the exact dates of some of the tests.

I try to give a brief description of the location of any surface-mount component with a problem noted by Jehanne. My description assumes you are looking at the top surface of the MCM with the 256 pin input connector on the left and the 50 pin output connector on the right.

The results summarized here are from the first round of inspections, done in early August 1999, on each MCM. Many or all of these problems have since been fixed. For details on the second round of inspections, after misc repairs at Pace, look here.

In the table below, I only listed problems which Jehanne's notes say "fix" next to. Other comments and notes from the original data sheets are omitted.
