9.38 MHz on IM crate backplane

This document is based on work done with Allan Hansen 13-Nov-2000.

We looked at the shape of the 9.38 MHz clock on the MVD Interface crate backplane (pin 10 on the middle connector) across the backplane.

Here is a sketch of the interface crate configuration for this test (ps version here):

Here are scope traces taken at most of the slot numbers on the backplane of the crate (a postscript version of thiese figures is here):

There is a "glitch" in the clock signals around 2.5V which gets worse closer to the TCIM module (which is generating this clock). The TCIM module is in slot 21.
