All lines are 3/8" polyflo, (this is the OD), which has an ID of 6.0 mm. The
flow was measured at the end of the long return line, just before the
degassing can, and found to be 2036 cc/min. This is only 15% above the flow
required for FC75.
Reducing the length of the return line by 22' increases the flow to 2340
cc/min, which is 33% above nominal, and replacing the other long section with a short piece
increases the flow rate to 2840 cc/min, which is 60% above nominal. Therefore we
will replace the long hoses with 1/2" polyflo, in order to have enough of a safety margin.
