Introduction

We present here a summary of our work on / discrimination. In Sections 2 and 3 we discuss the procedures used with the PISA and PISORP codes to generate and analyze the data used for the simulations. Section 4 discusses some of the details of the track and road-finding procedures used in PISORP. Section 5 summarizes results on the use of Discriminant Analysis. In section 6 we discuss a technique that we have named ``Hit Pattern Recognition'' or ``Pattern Recognition'' which is a simpler, more transparent technique than Discriminant Analysis but which appears to be equally powerful.
