We have studied the trigger rates for UA1 events using anode wire readouts of the LDS's. The effects of hodoscopic ambiguities and the effects produced by removing the neutron and lead shields and the nosecone have been studied. The trigger rate ranges from 9 % with both shields and nosecone installed to almost 50% with all three items removed.
