test fit 15 aug 2011

We placed 2 wedges on a spare large disk and tried to run through the steps of installing it.
The first problem we had was the disk holder that is supposed to allow us to lower the disk into the cage. The disk holder's srew holes are too large and not tapped out. There is a bar that is supposed to attach to it, and has the same problem. Because of this we could not attach the hoop that is supposed to hold the cables in place, or attach the disk to the holder. This is just as well because the holder will not lower the disk into place correctly. The legs push against the cage before the disk is all the way lowered. All the holders (station 1-3 at at least) have this problem.
We placed the disk in positions 1-3 and it fit correctly. The frame the cage is in intereferes with some of the station 1 screw holes, it is difficult the get the screw in but not impossible. It might help if Mike cut a notch out of the holder right there.
We had some cables for station 1 and 2, they looked fine, a little tight but probably ok. We did not attach the HV cables, just an oversight but we do have them. I see they are supposed to lay along the extension cables, is there any plan to keep them in place?
