In phnx.par, for sili_use_survey choose the wedge
survey version, which is 2. This causes the alignment from Hexagon to be
read from the database.
Then if you add a minus sign to the survey version number, PISA will also pick up the Millepede alignment file, which is named on the next line. These files come from reading this page, and then picking up the .txt file, in this case from /direct/phenix+subsys+fvtx/jinhuang/geometry/run15_release2/alignment.txt. After that, follow the instructions to make a geom root file.
Checks: There are alignment files, as described here: FVTX wiki on alignment. This is the bottom of the file for Run15 release 2: Here the station xyz deltas are seen. In the example, I moved SI11 10cm in +z, and SI20 20cm in -x. Because the cages are placed by rotations, there are some y and z reversals involved.
In the alignment files there are records to shift each wedge in x and y.
The image shows wedge #0 shifted by +-10cm for selected half-disks.
Because the disks are placed by translation and rotation, some swapping of x and y in different cages is done.
However, wedge counting does not follow global phi, see
the geometry definition page:
so we reverse the wedge counting on the N side. |
