Inside/outside scan

We split lengthwise the first 20cm or so of tube section where we had seen the leak, so we could get a look at the inside surfaces.

Below are microscope pictures, taken in 1cm steps, of the inside, outside and top views of the split-off half-tube, and the half-tube that remained on the stave. Between successive rows there is some overlap so images can be matched up. On the right you can see mm marks. Here are some pictures of the setup

The tube's liquid entry/exit is on the bottom of the page. In segment 7 you can recognize the place where the leak was observed. In general, the inside of the tube is clean.
