Endplates

(1)
The endplate, outlined in red, is mounted on 12 standoffs, indicated in red. Originally, there were more standoffs at the narrow ends of the ROCs, but these are covered by extension cables. There is little protection for the Station-3 wedges, since the endplate is only supported around the outside perimeter. We can mount standoffs on the endplate itself, which land on the yellow spots on the ROC surface. This will be enough to prevent the endplate from flexing, protecting the St3 wedges.

Not all 6 yellow locations need to be done, three would be sufficient - the 2 at the ends, and one in the middle. Bias cables need to be moved and taped. Alternatively, standoffs can be glued to the yellow locations on the ROC boards, with or without a threaded end for a screw through the endplate.

The endplate material is partially translucent. Spray glue and Aluminum foil on the outside surface provides optical and Faraday shielding of the Silicon.
