The 8-stave box

This is the 4-stave box used in the 2019 beam tests.

We have 2 staves like this (HB-IC-H002 and HB-IC-I001. These consist of the HDI bus with the silicon attached (Si not visible). They have tabs attached to the HDI, and are taped to a G10 carrier plate (in an undefined location).

We have two ladders like this. They don't have the tabs, but they have the carbon strut on the back, as well as a plastic mounting tab with 2 holes at the stave end. These also are taped to a G10 board, with little standoffs to accomodate the struts.

New support for staves with trusses.
Bracket stl file

Six staves and two G10 plates. This assembly is about 60×40×12.5 cm, so we would need a box a little bigger, like 75×50×15 cm. None of the Rose boxes are that big.
  1. Bottom plate, 1/4" Al, 1/4-20 and 6/32 tapped holes.
  2. Box frame, 100-series 80/20 (31×19×5.5" outside)
  3. Standoffs, 34.125mm, 1/4-20 through hole (4)
  4. Stave support plate, 1/8" Al, 6/32 tapped holes, 1/4-20 through holes (2)
  5. Stave support bars, 1/4" Al, 6/32 tapped and through holes (6)
  6. Stave support bracket, 3D print (12)
  7. Stave cable bracket, 3D print (6)
  8. G10 plate bracket, 3D Print (4)
  9. G10 plate bracket clamp, 3D print (4)
  10. Sheet metal box covers (not shown)

Two trigger tubes:

right endcap (stl file) seals the tube and holds end of the the bar
left endcap (stl file) the opposite cap, also holds the SiPM
sipm cover (stl file) small plate holds the SiPM in place (two 6-32 screws)

New improved:
  • The red support bars are longer to take care of staves with long cables, and
  • there are cable support blocks (blue) that allow pass-through of cables.
  • The back two plates are longer, and have been aligned such that the sensitive areas line up with those of the ladders.

The unit is 136×48×14.6 cm
