MuTr Calibration DAQ Procedure
MuTr Calibration DAQ Procedure (update 1/7/02 MJL)
- these "special" runs should be taken when there is no beam,
there is no run with the "grand partition" going, and in consultation
with the shift leader.
- (other standalone runs can be going on simultaneously, as long as
they do not hog too much of the DAQ bandwidth.)
- muTr HV does not need to be on.
- log into phoncs account on phoncs0; use a fresh window on phoncs0
- make sure to do a setuponcs
- cd ~phoncs/mutr/calib
- type "docalib" (it should finish in about 20 minutes).
- you can view the progress of the script by typing: tail -f "logfile name"
- check the run control logbook. If any of the muTr calibration runs have 8 or less events then
the data is no good and the calibration will need to be repeated.
- the latest procedure (10/27/01) includes automatic analysis of the data as soon as it is taken
- results should appear on the web (after ~10 to 15 minutes) at,
http://www.phenix.bnl.gov/phenix/WWW/publish/leitch/calib/calib_results/calib_results.html
