DRIVING DIRECTIONS from the three local airports are available at "http://www.nist.gov/public_affairs/maps/directions.htm"; this link is also available on the EDM website. Please go the the NIST main campus, which is approximately 30-45 minute drive from any of the airports. A map of the campus is available from the EDM website, but is password protected for 9/11 security with the same username and password as used for the proposal. We will tenatively be meeting in the reactor building (235), now labeled around campus as the "neutron research building". EVERYONE will have to go to the front gate to sign in as a visitor. Please inform Paul Huffman (paul.huffman@nist.gov) at least one day in advance of your arrival. There is very limited public transportation, so rental cars are in order. LODGING is available at a number of hotels/motels around NIST. Paul suggests the following: Holiday Inn 2 Montgomery Village Ave., Gaithersburg, Md. 20879 (301) 948-8900 Fax: (301) 258-1940 or Courtyard Marriott-Gaithersburg 805 Russell Ave., Gaithersburg, Md. 20879 (301) 670-0008 Fax: (301) 948-4538 There is an exhaustive list at "http://www.nist.gov/public_affairs/visitor/hotels.htm". In general, stick with ones in Gaithersburg. Germantown would be the next choice, Rockville, the last. For MORE INFORMATION, contact Paul Huffman.
