TeraTerm Pro is a freeware terminal emulator that supports telnet and serial line communications. TeraTerm SSH (TTSSH) is an addon package that adds SSH support to TeraTerm Pro. It only adds the ability to log in with ssh and port forwarding. It does not support encrypted X-windows sessions or provide the scp utility.
For more detailed informaiton, see the Obtaining Clients page and follow the link to th TeraTerm SSH homepage and use the information there.
Start up the TTSSH application with the TTSSH.EXE program file where you installed TeraTerm Pro/SSH. A window will appear asking you for the host to conect two and the connection method. Type in the destination and click on the SSH button. Click OK.

The first time that you connect to a machine you will be asked if you wish to accept a new key. Go ahead and accept it by clicking on the checkbox as shown, and then clicking Continue.

You will then be asked for your username and password. Be sure to check the appropriate box for whether you are connecting with a plain password or an RSA identity key (see the Getting Started page). If you intend to use an RSA key, you will need to generate it with some other utility and copy the "identity" file to your machine. You can either generate it on a UNIX host, or use the command line port of ssh (see the Obtaining Clients page).

You are now logged on. Since you chose the SSH type of connection when you first started, you connection is now encrypted.
