Lens-less Microscopy at Coherent Light Sources

Abstract

The high degree of spatial coherence of the resulting beams from coherent light sources has lead to the development of novel imaging modalities such as Bragg coherent diffraction imaging (BCDI), Ptychography and keyhole imaging.  BCDI has proven highly successful at imaging the structure-property relationship in nano materials while Ptychography and key-hole is very promising for extended soft and condensed matter systems. We shall discuss and demonstrate the applicability of these techniques to study buried defects in NiO nanoparticles, dislocations and vortex dynamics in magneto-electric nanostructures, and 3D imaging of cancer cells.
