MCM 116 timeline

History of MCM 116

  1. ?-May-99: arrival at LANL, visually inspected
  2. ?-May-99: at LANL, glue output cable to MCM
  3. ?-May-99: sent to Pace to install surface mount components, wirebonding, encapsulation
  4. ?-May-99: some surface mount components fell off (probably, we know they fell off some in a group of 3 containing this MCM, but do not have more detailed records)
  5. ?-May-99: "poke-test" on remaining surface mount components
  6. ?-May-99: sent pack to pace to replace backwards capacitors and re-install components which fell off. I'm not sure but maybe all components were pulled off and replaced at this time.
  7. ?-May-99: visual inspection, no problems reported.
  8. ?-May-99: no formal QA, but unofficial QA testing -- no problems were seen.
  9. 24-Jun-99: at LANL, attached silicon detector via kapton cable
  10. 24-Jun-99: send to Pace for wirebonding and encapsulation
  11. 20-Jul-99: sent to Pace to have 4 surface mount caps replaced
  12. 6-Aug-99: probe surface mount components, no problems, except one row of caps (on TGVs) "looks like bad contact although survive pull test". Later judged OK.
  13. 18/19-Aug-99: MCM QA, failed -- 5th block of channels doesn't work, AMU problem? .
  14. 27-Aug-99: probe surface mount components, OK? -- there is an incomplete comment about clear encapsulant on the MCM surface
  15. 24/31-Aug-99: Tested with laser station, failed -- one block of bad channels (and maybe a few other scattered bad channels -- I do not remember). .
