To run the Fast ADC software, do the following:

Get onto the E866 account on fn866.fnal.gov; at the prompt, type:

        telnet vuvme1

At the VME prompt, type:

        moduleShow
(If fadcCommands.o and fcna.o are in the displayed list, then you do not
need to load them.)
        pwd
(Remember the current directory, so that when you are done loading you can
return the system to the state you found it in.)
        cd "~/fadc/bin"
        ld <fcna.o
        ld <fadcCommands.o

At this point, you have loaded the FADC software.  If you have other plans in
manipulating the software, you can type "how" (w/o quotes) for a list of
commands.

If you want to set the number read out and backed up, use the function
"fadcInit(M,N,D)" (w/o quotes) to read out M+1 words and backup N words, with
a delay of D.  Be sure to do this in-between, and not during, runs.

When you wish to stop using the FADC, type the following:

        unld "fcna.o"
        unld "fadcCommands.o"

Finally, before you leave the terminal, return the system to its found state
by "cd"ing to the directory the system was in when you "pwd"ed earlier.
